Today I spent the morning photographing this little guy and his baby sister. How handsome is he? He has the coolest color hair,freckles, long eyelashes, just plain adorable! He was such a helper too trying to get his little sis to smile for us.

 

Isabelle is getting christened soon and her mom really wanted photos of in her beautiful gown. Isabelle's grandmother sent her baptism gown over from England, she will be the third family member to wear it, neat. The three of us tried everything we could think of to crack some serious smiles out of her but Isabelle didn't think we were too funny! She just stared at us like we were crazy. We got some little smirks though which made for good ones. I'll be shooting their holiday photos next month so hopefully we can get a bigger smile for mom next time. thanks for a fun morning!

 
 

hats, hats, hats....

I must say there is nothing cuter than a baby in a hat! Recently a good friend of mine has begun making me hats for my baby sessions. I wish I could be as talented as her in the knitting dept! How cute are these hats?
I was so excited to be able to try them out on so many adorable babies last week during the Jingle Baby Photo Contest. Thanks Sandra for your kind donations and thanks to all the moms and babies that came out!

For the boys we used some of Green Pea Nursery's hats. How fun are these little rockstar caps? Check out more of their unique stuff in downtown Apex.

And a couple babies came prepared with their own stylish hats. Love, love, love them!

Jingle Baby Photo Contest - Apex Baby Photographer

Just finished with two full days of baby shoots! Thanks to all the moms and dads who entered their little ones into the contest. So many cuties came to see us! The Green Pea Nursery in downtown Apex hosted the event, many thanks to them for letting us rearrange their store for the sessions.
Make sure to check back in a week or so to vote for your favorite baby! The winner will be Green Pea's holiday model for their upcoming Christmas clothing line. They were all so adorable, its going be a close contest I'm sure!

Carolina Conceptions - Raleigh Baby Photography

I just want to extend a big thank you to all the staff at Carolina Conceptions! Saturday I was invited to photograph their annual baby reunion in North Raleigh. It was an amazing event, so many babies - twins, triplets and quads even!! There were over 300 people in attendance. Such a great opportunity to meet so many new families. Thank you Carolina Conceptions for having me! Another thank you to my good friend Kelly for all her hardwork and assistance at the event, couldn't have done it without you.

V. Family Session - Cary Children's Photographer

Met up with the V kids last Friday for another session. Just like last year we had so much fun. I love having kids help me with the shoot, this little boy had some great ideas for poses! I especially like the last one he and his twin sister did upside down! Thanks for having me guys!

 
 

 

Happy Labor Day

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Labor Day Weekend. Enjoy your time at the beach, at the BBQ, or wherever your plans may have you. We have decided to forgo the crowds and traffic this year and stay home for a relaxing weekend, or so we hope. Its never quite as relaxing as planned with 2 little girls in the house.
A few boxes arrived for me yesterday so I'll be unpacking and learning how to operate my new studio lights. I had planned to stay strictly a natural light studio but after a training session in Chicago I have been converted. Lots of new and exciting ideas are now floating around in my head. Stay tuned for high key studio sessions and silhouttes in the near future!

The Ice Cream Shop - Apex's Children's Photographer

Thanks to all the families that came out to The Ice Cream Shop in downtown Apex last Sunday night. So many adorable kids volunteered to be apart of a redecorating effort at the Ice Cream Shop. The owner Kim and I were in search of local, cute, kids to photograph and display on her shop walls. We were fortunate to get a great turnout and so many amazing shots.
